‘Destiny Rise of Iron’: Changes to the crucible

With the recent information from Game Informer taking the Destiny community by storm, let’s take a look at the changes coming to the crucible come the Rise of Iron expansion. The first confirmed piece of information is the new game mode which all guardians will be competing in, ‘Supremacy’…

Supremacy works a lot like the ‘Kill Confirmed’ game mode, seen in recent Call of Duty games. When enemy players are killed, they drop a crest for the enemy team to collect, essentially confirming the kill and gaining points for your team. The twist here is that one of your team members can pick up your crest denying the enemy team their points. Overall, Supremacy should provide a mix of long and close range action, and guardians will also be able to play it in 6v6, 6v6 inferno and free for all match types.

Supremacy will also feature as the game mode for the first Iron Banner tournament post Rise of Iron.

Teasing custom games?

Some more news which has undergone some speculation is a new feature coming to the crucible in Destiny, which is going to be revealed in a future Bungie reveal stream. From the current information, Bungie says it is a feature that has been long awaited and desired by the community. This leads us to speculate and hope that this new feature will be custom games. This will be a huge reveal for Bungie and certainly increase the hype for Rise of Iron, granting us a lot more flexibility and fun factor when it comes to crucible.

Let us know what you think about the upcoming expansion and what you’re excited for down below! Destiny, Rise of Iron will launch September 20th.
