E3 2016: New Pokemon Additions To ‘Pokemon Sun’ and ‘Pokemon Moon’

Nintendo has been teasing with the revelation of new Pokemon that will appear in Pokemon Sun and Pokemon Moon at E3 2016. There is also the addition of new forms for Lunala and Solgaleo.

Pikipek

Pikipek is a normal/flying type Pokemon, essentially the standard bird Pokemon that is found in every Pokemon generation (Pidgey, Hoothoot, etc). It will have the ability Keen Eye or Skill Link and will be able to learn the move Peck. It is said the Pokemon can drill sixteen times a second with its beak.

Grubbin

Grubbin is the featured bug Pokemon of the generation, much like Caterpie of Generation One. Its ability is Swarm and it can learn the move String Shot. It uses its jaw to burrow under the ground and is known to love electricity.

Yungoos

Yungoos is the Ratata of Generation Six and is a normal-type Pokemon. It has either the ability Stakeout or Strong Jaw and is said its fangs can crush and eat very hard objects. It was not originally native to the Alola region.

The new forms of Lunala and Solgaleo have also been revealed, although no further information has been released. These are Lunala’s Full Moon phase and Solgaleo’s Rising phase respectfully.

Previously Nintendo had released two other additional Pokemon in the CoroCoro magazine, although their English names have yet to be announced. In Japanese, translated into Roman numerals, they are Nekkoara and Iwanko.

Nekkoara

Nekkoara is a normal-type Pokemon and has the ability Sure Sleeper. It is known as the sleeping Pokemon and is based on a koala.

Iwanko

Iwanko is a rock-type Pokemon and has either the ability Vital Spirit or Keen eye. It is known as the puppy Pokemon.

Pokemon Sun and Moon will be released on 18th November 2016 Worldwide, other than Europe where it will be released on 23rd November 2016.
