Nintendo Weekly News Round-Up: A Silent Week For Nintendo

Deals To Celebrate The Holidays!

While Christmas may be over at this point, and you may have gotten some new Switch games this year, there are still bound to be sales on the way for Switch products. Such sales can be seen at Best Buy right now. For example, you can currently purchase Diablo III: Eternal Collection at a price of $49.99 USD.

As well, you may find games like Fire Emblem Warriors at a price of $44.99 USD and Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle at $24.99 USD. Other titles on sale include, according to GameSpot:

Additionally, with some new Switch games to play on the go or, better yet, at home, you’re probably wondering: “Gee, where could I possibly find a better controller for long play sessions than the Joy-Cons?” Well, your answer lies in the Nintendo Switch Pro Controller. While the regular price of it is $69.99 at most major retailers, it currently sells, for a limited time, on Amazon for $54.90 USD.

As one who uses this controller often with the likes of Super Mario Odyssey, Breath of the Wild, and L.A. Noire, I can honestly say that I love this controller. When it comes to ranking controllers, this is easily near the top, joining the ranks of the Xbox 360 and Gamecube controllers. However, given its normal retail price, I’d highly recommend taking advantage of this deal while you can.

To round out the round-up, there were still some new releases this week on the eShop. This would include the likes of puzzle game Jewel Fever 2 on Switch. Right now, it sells for a price of $4.99 USD. Additionally, Arcade Archives DONKEY KONG JR. was released on December 21 on Switch for a price of $7.99 USD.

One of the most significant release this week appears to be DYNASTY WARRIORS 8: Xtreme Legends Definitive Edition. It currently runs at $39.99 USD and seems to be a good port of the original 2013 release. As always, you can find these and more at the Nintendo Game Store.

That about does it for this week, folks. It has been largely all quiet on the Nintendo front, but be sure to check next week for all the upcoming news on releases and more!

In the meantime, I’m catching up on my Smash Bros. after long sessions with Arthur Morgan. I’m really digging the Inkling fighter.
