Sometimes modern art doesn’t quite reach the standards of Michelangelo or Donatello. Honestly, not a lot ever will, but a Youtuber called Sculpture_Geek has nonetheless done an amazing sculpture of Link from The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.

The video, showing the progression of Link being modeled from clay, has already amassed over 700,000 views, and will likely be even higher by the time you’ve read this. The level of detail is astonishing, and the time and dedication to perfect the sculpture is admirable. What’s most spectacular is the sheer likeliness the sculpture has to Link from Breath of Wild, straight from the face structure to his blond bangs. Faith in the modern art might just be restored.

If a sculpture from The Legend of Zelda wasn’t what you were looking for, then other sculptures from Sculpture_Geek include Fox McCloud from Star Fox and DeathClaw from Fallout 4.

Review: ‘Absolver’ – The Alchemist’s Punch

Absolver is a heavy hitter and as such, a lot of its punches are wild swings that miss their target. The ones that do connect, however, leave a lasting impression. A fantastic idea executed competently but, unfortunately, not much more than that.
