On the first TV Roundtable in our lovely new abides, The Gang (that’s Sean Colletti, Randy Dankievitch, and Simon Howell, for the uninitiated) tackles the wonderfully twisty and philosophical first season of NBC’s high-concept sitcom The Good Place, then take a look back at 2016 and a look ahead to 2017 (the year we’re all excited for!) with a long series of predictions and, of course, complaints. Somewhere in there, we ponder the future of political comedy on TV in the Tr*mp era, the hit-miss ratio of The CW, the forthcoming wave of #WeirdTV, and whether we’ve complained enough about Mr. Robot‘s second season.
